(A Rite of Purification for the Heart and Soul)

PURPOSE

To release old bonds — of lost love and broken friendship — from the soul, purify the spirit, and prepare the sacred space for destined and divine union.

Performed during the time of of Thargelia, honoring Apollo and Artemis as the purifiers and guardians of new life.

TOOLS

• Tokens (Stones, Paper Figures, or similar)
• Bowl of clean Water → for drowning and carrying them away.
• Salt → for mouth purification and sealing of the soul.
• White Candle → for Apollo (purification, light, new love).
• Black Candle → for Artemis (severing, protection, threshold).
• Incense → for sanctification.
• Optional → libation or offering to Apollo and Artemis (honey, milk, bay leaves, or incense).
