Module I – Foundations of the Witch
⸻
🕯️ Lesson Introduction
If Lesson 1 asked you to step into the role of the witch, this lesson asks:
Which river of magic do you walk beside?
Because not all magic speaks the same.
Some magic sings in sacred names, wrapped in geometry, bound to planets and stars.
Other magic hums through herbs in your pocket, breath on a mirror, or a thread knotted under the moon.
These two streams — often called High Magic and Low Magic — have flowed through the world in tandem for centuries. One rises toward the heavens; the other sinks its roots deep into the soil. The witch, however, is the one who learns to walk between them.
Let’s go deeper into these two currents, and what they can offer you.

🜍 What Is High Magic?
High Magic, also called ceremonial magic or theurgy, is the path of order, ascent, and divine alignment. It is magic as sacred science, where the soul of the magician is refined like alchemical gold — not just to manifest desire, but to reunite with the divine.
High Magic is precision made sacred. It draws from systems like:
• The Hermetic Qabalah
• Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy
• The Golden Dawn
• Renaissance grimoires like the Key of Solomon or the Heptameron
Its spells are often complex and symbolic.
Its rituals are conducted in robes, with consecrated tools, timed to planetary hours, sealed with angelic names.
