Module III – Elements, Pentagrams & Directional Power
⸻
🕯️ Lesson Overview
When a witch calls the quarters, they are not simply turning to the compass points — they are invoking the elemental architecture of the cosmos.
To call the quarters is to summon the living currents of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, to invite directional guardians into sacred space, and to form the ritual geometry through which power can be safely raised, directed, and released.
This lesson explores the quarter call as both folk practice and ceremonial rite, touching on its traditional language (the Watchtowers), its deeper metaphysical meaning, and the energetic presence it conjures.

🜁 What Is a Quarter Call?
A quarter call is a spoken invocation that opens each directional gate in ritual space. The East, South, West, and North are each aligned to one of the four classical elements — and calling them anchors your circle to the living powers of the world.
Each direction is more than symbolic — it is a cosmic axis. A presence. A current. When we face each gate and speak its name, we are aligning our microcosmic body with the macrocosmic order. The ritual becomes a mirror of the world’s architecture.
To call the quarters is to form a living compass — a magical mandala in which the spell may unfold.
