Module III – Elements, Pentagrams & Directional Power
⸻
🕯️ Lesson Overview
The Four Elements are the pillars of the Western magical worldview. They are not just substances, but living, spiritual forces — expressions of energy and archetype that shape every magical act and inner transformation.
In this lesson, you’ll explore the Four Elements from two deeply rooted traditions: the Witchcraft perspective and the Hermetic (Golden Dawn) tradition. You’ll understand how witches see the elements as embodied currents in the natural world, and how ceremonial magicians use them as building blocks of the soul and cosmos.
You’ll also learn about directional attributions in both systems — including the microcosmic (inner) and macrocosmic (cosmic/astrological) directions — and how these layers affect circle casting, elemental invocation, and magical philosophy.

🔥 The Witch’s View: Living Elements of Power
In Witchcraft and folk magic, the Four Elements are living, tangible spirits of the natural world. They are not abstractions — they are active forces in the land, body, and sky. They correspond to tools, seasons, directions, and even types of spells.
Each Element is seen as a current — a flowing, active presence that can be worked with, honored, and invoked.
