Module II – Altar, Tools & Sacred Space

🕯️ Overview

The Circle is more than a line drawn in the sand — it is a sacred threshold, the edge of the world, the temple between the worlds.

In this lesson, you’ll explore two traditional ways of casting the Circle:

• The Witch’s Circle, using the Calling of the Watchtowers, a Wiccan-style folk invocation.

• The Magician’s Circle, cast via the **Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (LBRP)**or the Hekatean LBRP.

Each method is a complete system for protecting, preparing, and empowering ritual space — whether you’re calling on the elements or invoking divine authority.

🜂 I. The Witch’s Circle: Calling the Watchtowers

This method originates from British Traditional Wicca and has been adopted in folk and neo-Wiccan systems. It calls upon elemental guardians (or Watchtowers) to guard and empower the sacred space.

Circle is cast deosil (clockwise), beginning in the East.

You may use a wand or athame to draw the Circle in the air or on the ground.
